summer of 1999

linear, Merchandizing

Summers used to be a break. But modern life doesn’t let us slow down, especially for adults. By bringing back nostalgic prices on nostalgic snacks, we invite customers to indulge in a summer reminiscent of the summers they experienced in childhood. We're here to help you summer like it's 1999, with prices from 1999.

summer like it’s ‘99

A film about an older sister showing her younger sister what it was really like to live like a kid in the 90s.

merchandizing

We created a graphics suite that allowed the unique pricing offer and the CPGs to stand out on product and performance marketing. The aesthetic was inspired by the familiarity of 90s “rad” clip art and was meant to fill the customer with a sense of nostalgia that would inspire them to repurchase the snacks of their youth.

A toolkit so impressive, figma wrote about it.

free summer of '99 concert

When it came time to launch our free summer concert in NYC with Third Eye Blind, leaning on the toolkit didn’t feel quite right. Instead, we recreated a world that was more in line with what a concert would’ve look and felt like in 1999. We referenced actual Third Eye Blind concert posters, band tees, and type treatments. We had CRTV installations running nostalgic 90s ads, put up a vintage merch stand with Venmo, and ran a 90s frosted tips station put on by Frosted Flakes.
